Trump and Woods go back many years — having frequently played together both during Trump’s first term and even prior to his taking office. In 2019, Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom. And earlier this week, Trump offered public condolences to the golf great on the passing of his mother, Kutilda Woods — who was 78.
Before Tiger Woods heads to Torrey Pines South Course in La Jolla, California, he had one more practice round to play in Florida. Woods played golf Sunday morning with President Donald Trump, according to multiple White House reports. They joined together for a round at Trump International in West Palm Beach, Florida, before Trump flew to New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles
Woods and Trump are big friends and enjoyed 18 holes before the President prepared to fly to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX. Trump owns 17 golf courses worldwide and claims to have a handicap of 2.8, per Golf Digest. The President is expected to head to the Superdome tonight for the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
