6d agoCarrie Underwood performed a stirring a cappella rendition of "America the Beautiful" after the official swearing-in of President Donald Trump at his inauguration on Jan. 20. The Inauguration Day performance took place inside the Capitol Rotunda after frigid temperatures in Washington prompted the ceremony to be moved inside from its traditional location on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol.
Carrie Underwood performed “America the Beautiful” a cappella after an awkward audio malfunction at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration in Washington, DC, Monday.
The “Before He Cheats” singer wore a sleeveless white draped dress and diamond earrings for the ceremony. She stood in front of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for the performance. Underwood shook hands with Trump and his Vice President JD Vance after the set. Underwood was one of multiple musicians tapped to perform at the political event. Lee Greenwood sang “God Bless The U.S.A” and opera singer Christopher Macchio sang the national anthem.
