Seven people have been confirmed dead as a tornado outbreak has hit the South and Midwest. Five people were killed in Tennessee, one in Indiana, and one in Missouri as tornados ripped through the South and Midwest. Some of the tornados have been rated as EF3 and even higher. Rescuers continue to search through rubble and in communities left in chaos. What began as an already dangerous situation on Wednesday has escalated, with multiple destructive tornadoes – some potentially rated EF3 or stronger – shredding homes, knocking out power, forcing road closures and leaving some neighborhoods unrecognizable.
