The affected products may contain a bacteria called Pseudomonas oleovorans which can cause serious infection to those with weakened immune systems. Individuals with healthy immune systems are not expected to be affected. “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Woolite Delicates detergent with lot codes S24364, S24365 and S24366 and contact Reckitt for a full refund,” the CPSC release said. “To receive a refund, consumers should write their name and “Recalled” in permanent marker on the back of the product, then take a photo with the UPC and lot code visible, and email the photo to ConsumerCare_USA@reckitt.com.

A well-known brand of laundry detergent sold to Idaho customers through Amazon is being recalled due to the possibility of contamination by a harmful bacteria.

The voluntary recall applies to more than 16,000 50-fluid-ounce bottles of Woolite Delicates detergent that were sold exclusively on Amazon in January, according to a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Consumers who have bottles with lot codes S24364, S24365 and S24366, which are printed on the top of the bottle, should immediately stop using the detergent. The CPSC said the products could contain Pseudomonas species of bacteria, including Pseudomonas oleovorans, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water.

The voluntary recall applies to more than 16,000 bottles of certain 50 fluid-ounce bottles that were sold on Amazon in January. Consumers urged to immediately stop using it and check bottles for lot codes S24364, S24365 or S24366. If the bottle displays one of the codes, it could contain Pseudomonas species bacteria.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is advising consumers to stop using Woolite laundry detergent immediately. The recall affects select Woolite Delicates detergent in 50 fluid ounce bottles. The detergent, exclusively sold on Amazon.com, affects around 16,200 bottles.
