Pakistan's army spokesman accused India of hurting four soldiers in a drone attack near Lahore, an incident he described as a "serious, serious provocation" and one that "is further escalating" the unfolding conflict. India sent drones to "multiple locations" in Pakistan and 12 were shot down, said Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistan Armed Forces, in a briefing on Thursday. But he said one drone broke through and "managed to engage a military target near Lahore, partially," leading to the soldiers' injuries. He also said one civilian had been killed and another hurt by falling debris in the southern Sindh province.

India accused Pakistan of being behind the assault. Islamabad denies that.

Pakistan's military has shot down 25 Indian drones over the past two days amid escalating border tensions, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Thursday. According to a statement shared with the media, the ISPR said India continued to display belligerence under the mistaken assumption of Pakistan’s weakness. However, Pakistan’s armed forces responded swiftly and effectively, neutralising the drones in record time. Earlier reports indicated that loud gunfire and explosions were heard in several parts of Lahore, including Walton, Burki Road, and Defence areas. The sounds triggered panic among residents, with many rushing out of their homes. Emergency services, including rescue and firefighting units, were dispatched to the affected areas.
