As of Sunday morning, new tornado warnings have been issued in Alabama and Mississippi, while flash flood warnings are in place across several counties in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee, according to the outlets.
The state’s emergency management office reported damage in 22 counties from tornadoes, wind, hail and flash flooding.
The storms have also injured numerous others and destroyed several homes in states like Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana.
Over the past few days, more than 30 tornadoes have shredded a vast stretch of the central United States, and relentless rain has pushed creeks and streams beyond their banks.
