Japanese snowboarder Hiroto Ogiwara made history at the X Games in Aspen on Friday by landing the first known 2340 in a competition, an incredible trick which consists of rotating six and a half times in the air.

Not only did the Japanese snowboarder win a Big Air title on his first try, but he also went down into the history books as the first to land a 2340 mute grab in competition.

Less than 24 hours after Ogiwara achieved the feat with a snowboard, Italian Miro Tabanelli duplicated the trick on skis to win his own event on Saturday.
