The Los Angeles Times on Thursday incorrectly referred to O.J. Simpson as former President Donald Trump in the newspaper’s obituary for the former football player acquitted of murder. In describing Simpson’s early release from a Nevada prison for a 33-year sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping, writer Elaine Woo named Trump as the released convict.

Simpson, the former NFL Hall of Fame running back who went on to become a movie star and celebrity pitchman for brand names like Hertz, was acquitted in 1995 of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.
